2019 Finalists
We are proud to announce this year's Green Gown Awards UK & Ireland Finalists.
After a tough judging session, the applicants have been whittled down to 101 finalists across 14 categories.
This year’s UK and Ireland Green Gown Awards’ Finalists, representing over 1 million students and 162,000 staff, are leading the way with their commitment to the global sustainability agenda and proving the value that universities and colleges bring to the economy and society. The Finalists emphasise an institution’s role in enabling and empowering young people to tackle pressing global issues to ensure they have a better tomorrow.
Case studies and short videos/infographics are being collected from all the Finalists and we will let you know when these will be available on the Sustainability Exchange.
The list of the 2019 finalists can be found below with the Finalists' Flyer. Join us at the Awards Ceremony on 26th November at Glasgow Science Centre to see who is Awarded in these prestigious Awards. Find out more here.

Note on Climate Action Category: Climate Action is a hot topic with institutions needing to take a more holistic approach to achieving their targets. Newly introduced as a category this year, the judges decided to defer the category to next year and encourage the sector to step up to the mark to show real innovation and progression to meet 2030 targets.
