Sustainable Skills for Brighter Futures

At Wrexham University, the Head of Careers and Employability, supported by the Academic Development Team, have embedded a university-wide skills framework into learning and teaching practices.

This framework, integrated into newly validated Degree programmes, systematically identifies, develops, and deploys essential skills and competencies for promoting environmental sustainability. It informs the development of educational curricula focused on sustainability, leading to targeted learning that addresses skills gaps.

The framework encourages undergraduate and postgraduate learners to adopt a lifelong learning ethos, emphasising ongoing education and skills updating in line with evolving sustainability practices.
