Being ambitious, being the first: UNIMAS Low-Carbon Campus Roadmap 2030

Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) is proud to introduce the UNIMAS Low-Carbon Campus Roadmap 2030, a vital project that puts our strategic initiatives in gear towards a low-carbon campus that embodies sustainable growth. The global concerns of climate change need to be placed into local settings for change to happen. Understanding this, we adopt global and national goals and policies and adapt them to suit the unique context and requirements of the campus.

Our roadmap is a local reflection of the Paris Agreement, advocating a two-way approach wherein initiatives are aligned to the national commitments as well as prioritising the campus community and stakeholders. Focusing on 6 strategic pillars, 22 strategies, and 6 selected SDGs, the roadmap is set to catalyse UNIMAS towards reduced carbon emissions, enhanced sustainability practices, and exemplary environmental stewardship.
