Democratic participatory process on sustainable mobility at the University of the Balearic Islands

The democratic participatory process on sustainable mobility at the UIB was organized by the Vice Chancellor of Campus and Healthy University, aiming to incorporate community voices and innovate decision-making.

It took place during November and December 2023, with three five-hour sessions. Participants were selected through an open call, and group deliberation was facilitated by an external team. Sessions consisted of an informative part, where various stakeholders shared experiences and studies, followed by a deliberative segment. The guiding question was: "How can we travel to and within the University efficiently, reducing the use of private motor vehicles?"

The objectives were to generate proposals for sustainable mobility and foster community cohesion.
