The Trafford and Stockport College Group ensure that sustainability and opportunities for student leadership and activism are provided across the Group. To do this, we celebrate the questioning minds of our student campaigners in the Green College Assembly and their contributions to local and national forums that can further develop knowledge and understanding. Partnerships are a key element to the success of our student led approach to the project, which further embeds learning by bringing community into college.
Experiential learning is key to the progress and development of any student led activities. We know that key knowledge and understanding can be embedded through the lived experience. Since we advocate and provide templates for students to lead and deliver their findings and to support critical thinking through debate and discussion forums the outcomes of these activities are substantial and impactful. Students are encouraged to research and critique a wide range of stakeholder activities as they move towards their conclusions and actions to support learning.
