The “Different Abilities, Equal Opportunities” project focuses on creating a supportive environment for individuals with disabilities and individuals from under-represented areas to help them achieve their full potential. The project has undertaken several activities since 2021. Several University departments have participated in these initiatives. These includes a free, short computer course for visually impaired persons in collaboration with Pakistan Assistive Technology Foundation (PATF), free skin camp in collaboration with the government’s Special National Education, Pakistan, and visits to local government high schools and Saint Albert Girls High School to engage children in art and craft activities, promoting creativity and lifelong learning. The Department of Interior Design hosted a short course on Fine Art to encourage individuals to explore their creativity. The Department of Optometry conducted an eye screening at Chenab School Chiniot, and the initiative also included a visit to SOS Children's Village.
In addition, the university offers library facilities to its local community, giving access to digital resources. The project aims to create an environment that fosters the growth and development of individuals with diverse abilities, providing them with equal opportunities to achieve their goals.
