My work at Seeds for Thought has helped to eliminate barriers to accessing fresh fruit and vegetables in areas across Southampton, benefitting local primary schools as well as the community.
It has improved access to fruit and vegetables for 82 students across 3 schools through a 6-week educational programme, which aims to provide children with knowledge about healthy eating, sustainable farming, and practical experience with using hydroponics.
Hydroponics is a modern system that allows the growth of plants without soil. Alongside this I have partaken in several competitions – having come third place in the AIG Learn for Change Competition, being a runner-up in the Enactus UK & Ireland National, and finalists in the R&Co 4 Generations funding competition and RSK Partner Competition.
