Inspiring and Empowering Climate Action through the arts - Reach’24: Sustainability and arts festival

In April 2024, Queen’s University Belfast, in collaboration with Sustainable Development Solutions Network Ireland, launched Reach ‘24, a new arts and sustainability festival.

The ‘Reach ‘24’ festival examined the climate emergency and sustainable solutions via various art mediums including film screenings, performances, talks and an art exhibition.  Much of the programme featured work by experimental art activists from across the island of Ireland.

The purpose of the festival was to see how art can communicate about sustainability in instances where science communication fails.
