MyO2 Program: From Oil to Oxygen

Since 2019, Management and Science University (MSU) in Shah Alam has led the "MYO2: From Oil to Oxygen" project, promoting environmental sustainability by recycling used cooking oil. MSU collaborates with the community and industry partners, selling collected oil to fund tree and herb planting at Sg. Kanching Waterfall & Recreation Forest. In collaboration with Tourism Selangor Sdn Bhd, MSU names each planted tree and herb after contributing companies, aligning with SDGs 11, 12, 15, and 17. MSU conducts awareness campaigns, advocating oil reuse among SMEs, the public, and its community. Eco-friendly activities like planting and herbal gardening accompany these efforts.

The inaugural campaign encourages community involvement, with supporters donating over 1000 litres of recycled oil. This initiative underscores MSU's dedication to sustainability and responsible environmental stewardship.
