Establishing a scholarly scientific research chair to advance knowledge and benefit society

King Faisal University (KFU) has developed a strategic collaboration with Albilad Bank to benefit the Saudi society, regional and international community. This strategic alliance aims to achieve part of the KFU institutional identity, which is achieving food security and environmental sustainability for the Kingdom. The strategic alliance results in funding a number of scientific research, social, economic, and innovative activities that aim to address current and future food security challenges in the Kingdom and to achieve leadership and excellence in food security research at the local, regional, and international levels with effective community participation. This is in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and contributes to achieving the goals and initiatives of "Saudi Green".

Benefiting the society is the main goal for this collaboration between KFU and Albilad Bank. The outcome of this collaboration included handling the major problems that meet local community in relation to agriculture and animals.
