Heaven Honey Hive

“Heaven Honey Hive” is a nature-positive initiative spearheaded by the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) to restore populations of stingless bees and their ecosystems, which have been adversely affected by climate change. This initiative aims to reinforce IIUM’s commitment to nature conservation.

Through our stingless bee farming operations, we cultivate exceptional quality honey sourced from dammar bees that gather nectars from diverse floral resources available within IIUM's unique tropical forest environment. This initiative has successfully raised public awareness on the importance and uniqueness of stingless bees that are only found in tropical and subtropical regions.

Our mission is to generate positive biodiversity impacts on nature by transferring knowledge and skills on stingless bee smart farming, developing downstream products using natural ingredients, and innovating technology with nature-based formulation.

We have successfully conducted this project through active collaboration and sharing best practices with students, staff, local communities, government agencies, industries and NGOs.
