This Values-based Leadership Transformative project, driven by staff, students, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) female staff association, and Daya Bersih, aims to enhance spiritual (SQ), emotional (EQ), and cultural intelligence (CQ) competencies for high empathy within the university community. Through holistic values-based education, it promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) at IIUM, particularly targeting low-income staff.

The project enhances self-management, healthy living, and sustainability awareness among cleaners and landscape workers, aligning with the university's mission to nurture responsible leaders committed to serving and giving back to the community. This project fosters collaboration, breaks silos, and addresses education for sustainable development, aiming for peace and sustainability in society through education.

Top 3 Learnings

1. We transform the University community into a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI) practising society.
2. We provide opportunity for learning and development to the lower income workers to boost their health and well-being for them to subsequently share it with their families and friends for community transformation.
3. We are able to drive passion to serve others voluntarily with a strong teamwork irrespective of who we are in the University i.e. students, academics and administrative staff – breaking the silo.
