Here are what some of our supporters say about the Awards:

"It has been magnificent to see the growth of the Green Gown Awards both in terms of reputation and impact and we are pleased to work alongside the EAUC in taking forward the crucial senior leadership dimension. The Leadership Award is testimony to where sustainability responsibility and accountability should sit within an institution - at the very top level of leadership. The Award recognises those transforming leaders who are shaping the future by making the principles and values of sustainability central to their organisations. Moving sustainability to the centre-ground of senior leadership in universities and colleges is not just the 'right thing to do' it will also deliver tremendous benefits in terms of efficiency, innovation, student engagement, developing partnerships and attracting talent.  The Green Gown Awards are leading the way in ensuring tertiary education takes sustainability leadership seriously." Doug Parkin, Programme Director, Advance HE

“The Scottish Funding Council are proud to continue our support for the Green Gown Awards. The recognition and achievement of the sector over the years can be clearly shown through the number of institutions that have achieved an Award as well as the sharing of case studies and videos across the sector. The Awards are an excellent way to get recognition by your peers but also by your senior management team to really energise sustainability within your institution.” Jenny Jamieson, Policy Officer, Scottish Funding Council (SFC)

"The longevity of the Green Gown Awards is testimony to the effort and progress colleges and universities have been making towards sustainability over a substantial period of time. Most importantly, the Awards keep growing and expanding, which reiterates that further and higher education is indeed ready to lead the change. Recognising good practice and sharing learning is an essential component in keeping the momentum moving forward, and the Awards are the perfect platform for this to occur. The ongoing partnership between ACTS and EAUC also continues to strengthen, particularly as we continue to expand the International Green Gown Awards. Combining and sharing the knowledge and practice across our countries builds our capacity for change on a global level and demonstrates to everyone that we are all working towards a common goal. I wish all applicants the best of luck and thank you for your ongoing actions and initiatives towards sustainability." Leanne Denby, President at Australasian Campuses Towards Sustainability (ACTS) & Director of Sustainability at  Macquarie University
