As the world is facing with various challenges around sustainability, the Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF) has adopted the United Nations (UN) 2030 Agenda of Sustainability and started the procedure of its implementation around the local community. Currently, Pakistan is one of those countries who are directly facing the effects of the climate change and global warming. As we know, plantation has been given great significance as it is essential for the life-cycle, and to counter these issues, GCWUF has constructed a Bio-Diversity Park in its campus. This will help us in achieving the UN 2030 Agenda of Sustainability as the people of the town gain employed as a result of the establishment of this park and to combat air pollution and environmental change.
This Park is a laudable step to safeguard variegated species of animals, and its resultant vibrant cultural and aesthetic impact will come out with the passage of time. Moreover, GCWUF has also established a Psychological Wellness Centre (PWC) for their students, faculty, and the local community. In PWC, the University officials and experts provide free guidelines to everybody regardless of any discrimination. Furthermore, several initiatives, Entrepreneurship for Women, Women on Wheels, allow the women to promote gender equity among the community. Dynamic Strategies for Crop Sustainability and Food Security under the climate change have also been adopted. As a result, GCWUF is striving its best to implement the UN 2030 Agenda around its community.
