Since the establishment of the Committee in 2023 there has been significant change in the understanding of positive climate action and focus on improving staff and student well-being. Many staff and students are now engaging in eco-related projects either by donating items or by organising activities and there is evidence of a culture change in the school.

A range of recycle re-use schemes have been commenced and these have also contributed to local and global charities. The cost-of-living crisis prompted the committee to organise 3 clothes swaps one of which focussed on graduation and the student ball events for students who had limited resources.

The committee has worked in partnership with the Library Services and School of Medicine arranging litter picks, active transport promotion events, a hedgehog survey on campus and the building of bug boxes for the campus sites.
