Dan Priddy, Finance & Business Performance Manager
Finalist
University of Wales Trinity Saint David
I am a Finance and Business Performance Manager for the University, working with several large teams to ensure financial compliance and effective budget management. A fraction of my role is reporting and forecasting utilities. This combined with a passion for sustainability saw me instigate and lead several decarbonisation projects across the University. These include:
- Working with WGES and Salix.
- Electrification of the University Fleet Vehicles.
- Introduction of a staff EV salary sacrifice scheme.
- Installation of EV charging points across the estate.
- Large innovative Solar projects in conjunction with TEC and EDF.
- Building fabric improvements with a whole building approach.
Annual carbon savings achieved with the initiative:
- CO2t savings 2022/2023: 74.09 (Actual).
- CO2t savings 2023/2024: 260,69 (Estimated).
- CO2t savings over the life cycle of the project: 2607 CO2T (Estimated).
