The Green Gown Awards Australasia, proudly delivered by ACTS, recognise and reward those institutions making a positive change towards a greener future. The 2018 winners were announced on Thursday 1st November in a 'green tie' event at the National Wine Centre of Australia. The gala dinner and award ceremony was held in conjunction with the 18th International ACTS Conference, hosted by The University of Adelaide.
“The conversations from the conference, alongside the outstanding achievements from the Awards, continue to demonstrate the value, effort and determination of sustainability practitioners and educators from across the sector to progressing holistic sustainability” said ACTS President, Leanne Denby.
Awards judge and visiting guest presenter Meghan Fay Zahniser, Executive Director of the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) said, "the GGAA finalists are stellar examples of higher education institutions leading in all aspects of sustainability and represent the progress of the sector throughout the globe".
Join us in congratulating the 13 winning initiatives, representing 8 institutions from Australia and New Zealand!
